Youth and Weights: Yes. You should not be doing heavy weight lifting until you are through your growth spurt. Other exercises and cardiovascular work and calisthenics are fine.

Height: is determined by the human growth hormone: this is also genetically predetermined. Exercise in MODERATION will not affect your height since at 19, you are almost done growing.
