Feeding therapist: Sounds like your child might need structured therapy from a trained therapist who deals with feeding disorders. It may take some time, but your child should be able to eventually transition to solids with help.

See a doctor: It is normal for 2 year olds to like some foods and not others, but gagging and vomiting when trying to eat any food with texture suggests a problem. Your child's pediatrician can examine him for any physical problems and possibly refer him for therapy. Occupational therapists or speech therapists can sometimes help with problems like this if it is more behavioral that physical.
