It's your choice: The procedure is safe and effective in experienced hands but will involve a general anesthesia and recovery period. If you find life ok for now and have periodic issues aggravated by colds or allergy there are non surgical treatments available. Steroid nasal sprays can reduce some of the membrane enlargement and the over the nose strips can help you breathe through your nose at night.

Safe with few risks: This surgery is safe with relatively few risks when performed by an experienced surgeon. It may provide relief of nasal congestion but should be performed if medics therapy fails.

Septoplasty: If there are symptoms like nasal obstruction, snoring or recurrent sinusitis, have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist or facial plastic surgeon.
