Not enough info: I would recommend he see his primary care doctor or a gastroenterologist to help evaluate this further. Upper abdominal pain can be due to many different things, including gastritis/ulcers, gallbladder disease, constipation, irritable bowel, etc etc. Feel free to reach out to me if I can help your dad in our Sandy office.
