I am now taking seroquel starting from today after being off of geodon (ziprasidone) for over a week. are there any key differeneces in these medications?

Geodon (ziprasidone) vs Seroquel: I don't know what issues you had with geodon, (ziprasidone) but there must have been some for your medication to be changed? Geodon (ziprasidone) may be less likely to cause sedation but more likely to cause insomnia & agitation. It may also have less frequent sexual dysfunction. If a person needs more help with sleep, seroquel may be preferable.
