my 3 year old son has fluid in his knees n was wonderin what the procedure is fore it to be drained ?

Find the cause: A 3 year old child with fluid in his knees should be evaluated by a pediatric specialist. The cause of this build up of fluid in his knees needs to be determined. If the doctor thinks there is an infection, sometimes some fluid is drawn out to see if it is infection or something else.
