Side effects: Inspra is now available as generic eplerenone. I prefer it to spironolactone in men due to (breast enlargement). Otherwise i think they are both similar.

Spiro vs Inspra (eplerenone): Both are effective in PA. But you can outlast either. That is you will get much better effect against the aldo/salt problem by lowering Na and increasing K intake in PA. Spiro has more side effects but is much cheaper and has been around over 50 years. Each person is an experiment with each medication to get to what works best for you.
