Adhd and sleep: Many children with adhd have sleep trouble. There are many options, if he is medicated for his adhd then you might talk to his doctor about a lower dose. There are some medications that can help impulsivity that also help kids sleep (tenex (guanfacine) for one). There are also herbal solutions like melatonin that can be helpful. Also basic things like no screen time one hour before bed.

Melatonin, Benadryl (diphenhydramine): The most important intervention is sleep hygiene, no tablets, ps4, xbox ipod, smartphone, plasma screen, desktop or music within the last hour of sleep and preferably even earlier than that. Adequate exercise and physical activity throughout the day will help. If all else fails, melatonin up to about 5 or 6 mg or Diphenhydramine 25 mg to 50 mg can help out. Talk to your md!
