Look for connections: With your use of the word "paranoid" i'm suspecting that your experience with ghosts is not "friendly." if the fear is frequent/constant and interferes with your life, you may want to consult a psychiatrist for meds that would help bring down anxiety in the short run. But i would also recommend working with a therapist who could help you understand what that fear may be connected to in your life.

Ghosts: I agree w dr. Coffin. If you watch horror movies or paranormal tv programs that could be feeding your fears. If that is the case- would stop traumatizing yourself. Cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt) could be very beneficial in addressing your fears regarding ghosts. Consider seeing a psychologist who is trained in cbt. Why are you so : scared. Most ghosts dont mean to scare anyone. they want to be seen /heard. The movies make them out to be monsters. unless they were malicious in life, they wont be in death. Go talk to a counselor who deals with spirituality. Check out my site for more info.
