Learning mindfulness: Mindfulness is a practice in which you learn to be aware of your feelings and thoughts without judging them or without dismissing and ignoring them. Rather, you observe them, note what they are without letting them take you over completely. This takes time to learn. Immediately, you can exercise, distract yourself with something you enjoy (e.g. Read a book, spend some time alone).
