Brain fuel: Completely stop inflammation producing high carb foods (grains, lentils, potatoes based items). Also avoid milk protein (milk, yogurt, cheese). Low carb food items such as eggs, fish, meats, vegetables, some saturated fat (butter, coconut oil), olive oil are healthy foods that reduce inflammation in body and brain, hence improving stress related symptoms.

Get guidance: At age 18, our brains are just maturing. The world is confusing for all of us. You may need help getting out of a difficult life situation. Today's psychiatry / counseling recognizes how resilient we are despite things that may have happened to us, and that we can re-learn our thinking and take charge of our beliefs, feelings and behavior. Ask about cognitive-behavioral therapy.
