Relax: Take a deep breath. What you feel is very normal. Having removed thousands of teeth on thousands of patients over the years i can give you some perspective. The overall vast majority of patients tell me after the procedure, "that’s it? They’re out? "i didn't feel a thing!" and that was with just using a local anesthetic to numb them up. I also suggest you express your concerns to your dentist.

Listen to music: It's normal to be anxious about extractions. You can take some Ibuprofen 2 hours before the extractions and that can help with post extraction discomfort. Bring in your iphone/ipod or other mp3 player and listen to music during the extraction. Also, make sure you don't go in on an empty stomach unless you are going to sleep for extractions.
