Not exactly: A true allergic reaction means that the ige allergic antibody is involved. Stress response can make many conditions worse including aggravating asthma and hives, but this is not a true allergic reaction. That is what makes it challenging for modern medicine to "prove" that stress is so important---it is difficult to measure.
