Microdiscectomy: If you have radiculopathy or true sciatica, microdiscectomy is the answer. Make sure your neurosurgeon thinks the discs are causing your symptoms. More often than not patients with disc herniations do not have symptoms, or the symptoms have nothing to do with the discs.
