Depends: Depends on the severity. Thickening of the septum lining and turbinate hypertrophy may be seen commonly in any condition that causes 'rhinitis' such as allergies or infection. In rare and severe cases, I have seen such findings in certain other conditions such as sarcoidosis, lupus, or wegener's granulomatosis. See an ENT for a thorough evaluation.
