Probably not: Unless the tea is so hot it burns your tongue and damages the papillae, it is unlikely. We are not 100% sure why people get geographic tongue, but it is associated with things like ibs and celiac disease.

Could Be A Factor: Your oral chemistry, good & bad bacteria, along with what is ingested would factor into how the surface of your tongue changes. Be sure to also brush your tongue when you brush your teeth. Tongue scrappers work well, also.
