Disc displacement: When your lower jaw goes to far back the disc is squeezed forward resulting in a displaced disc that will prevent you from being able to open. You will need to see a dentist to unlock the joint area by having you bite on an appliance that will distract your lower jaw down and reposition the disc which will allow easy opening or normal.
