Can wisdom teeth coming in cause lock jaw?

It is possible: If the wisdom teeth become infected, the surrounding muscles can spasm causing limited opening of the jaw. See your dentist to have the teeth evaluated.

Yes: Yes, if the wisdom teeth (3rd molars) become inflamed or infected, this can cause restriction of oral opening. See an oral surgeon. He/she can prescribe antibiotics with infection. Also discuss with your if surgical removal of wisdom teeth is indicated.
