Gran had stroke and can't use knife or hold coffee cup. ot tested other skills and said she didn't need therapy. she wants to be indepndent. what to do?

Home OT and PT: If your grandmother can't use a knife or hold a coffee cup it is hard to believe she was cleared by ot, but insurance is trying to cut back on such services. I would request a repeat home ot evaluation (different therapist) but also work on techniques yourself. These can include a larger handle on utensils (best to buy them that way, but could also wrap with duct tape in a pinch).
