A member asked:

I had my period for 5 days and then 2 days later, it started again...is that normal?

Menses irregular: Menstrual irregularities are quite common and there are many different reasons they occur. This is not necessarily something to worry about unless accompanied by other symptoms or it becomes routine rather than a single episode. You should be fine. Best wishes.

Yes: At age 18, your hormones and communication between brain and ovaries is still maturing. So it's normal to have some irregularities in menstrual cycle. Having said that, extremes of weight (being too thin or too heavy) can also cause changes in menstrual cycle. Make sure you are at a healthy weight. Changes in thyroid can cause as well. If you're worried, see an md for appointment!
