Medication/PsychT: Discuss medication w/prescribing provider. Establish daily routine to help make your environment more predictable & reduce stress; sleep hygiene, diet , exercise. Establish goals, small and achievable. Focus on positive aspects of your environment or current situation (things you laughed at, best food you ate, good people you met, etc.). Create a crisis card to help you get through the "bad" day.

Treatment: That is a low dose for that particular medication. The dose may need to be raised. In addition you can increased aerobic exercise & use other resources like cognitive behavioral therapy, acupuncture, tai chi, psychotherapy, yoga or qi gong. Take care.

Effexor (venlafaxine): I agree with dr. Fowler, but discuss the dose change with your prescribing doctor first.
