Lactose sensitivity?: Comercial baby formulas all tend to be constipating when that is the baby's main source of nutrition. Changing to milk may alter the stooling pattern temporarily. Also, people can have varying levels of lactose sensitivity, and can tolerate dairy products if taken in smaller amounts. The character of bowel movements; hard, soft, liquid, is more important than number of stools.
