My boyfriend experiences some sharp pains in his left chest. he feels its in his heart. what could be the cause. he's 26yrs.

?risk factor: If he's diabetic, smokes, or uses cocaine, he could, in fact, have heart pain. If none of those are true, it's very unlikely (<1%) and more likely that the pain originates from a raw nerve, sore muscle, or irritated stomach or esophagus lining.
