Can heart -burn or gerd cause sharp chest pain on the left side of chest. Occurred while drinking coffee and after eating. My BP was normal.

Chest pain: This would not be a typical discomfort of reflux but could be due to reflux. It may be more related to esophageal spasm or motility disorder. Medications like prilosec or zantac are helpFul in reflux. For thorough evaluation of this symptom, consult a gastroenterologist.
