Tylenol (acetaminophen): The lowest incidence of side effects or complications is expected with Acetaminophen usage, at an effective dose of up to 3 grams per day. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory meds (ibuprophen, advil, aleve, (naproxen) aspirin, etc.) carry the significant risk of short or long-term gastric complications, as well as the potential for renal impairment.
