Yes: It depends on the site of the cancer and stage of cancer. Squamous cell cancers of the skin are usually curable, but if in the lung, it is a much more lethal tumor.

Yes if treated early: Squamous cell carcinoma can occur in many places. There are many factors to be considered in the prognosis. If these are diagnosed and treated early then cure is definitely possible. Many advances in treatment have been made in recent years.
