A member asked:

Are any special tests needed, or can a regular doctor see me for my smoking?

Any doctor: Have you heard enough about the perils of smoking? The list is long and you threaten your life, are a hazard to those around you and you would not believe how you smell. Do all in your power to quit. Get help from your regular doctor if you are serious. You may need behavioral modification and some pharmacological aids. Best of luck in quitting.

Sure!: If you are trying to quit your physician can help you outline a plan. Weaning gradually over time, substituting healthy behaviors like a short walk, or even 2 minutes of free weight bicep curls each time you have a craving can help. Wean geographically, meaning, at first don't take them in your car with you. Set a quit date, and tell your Facebook friends when it is! Good luck!
