why is it hard to breathe when i eat spicey food?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Cornelia Franz
Specializes in Pediatrics
Too hot: Spicey food can create too much internal heat and that can make you feel like it is hard to breathe. You may also be having an allergic reaction (not as likely). Either way your body is telling you to lay off the spicy stuff.
