Difficult to : Render a diagnosis without a clinical examination. But if there is no discomfort present, the red bumps on your tongue are your taste buds (papillae) - some more prominent than others. The white tongue could be a coating of plaque. Make daily tongue brushing a part of your daily hygiene regimen. In any event make sure you see your dentist frequently for checkups. Hope this helps.

SEE A DOCTOR: The whitish tongue is nothing but painless red bumps in the throat can be a problem. They should be evaluated by a physician.
