Wellbutrin (bupropion): When prescribed after thorough evaluation, wellbutrin (bupropion) can be a very effective and safe medication for depression. Dosage needs to be held to no more than 450mg/day due to dose-related risk of seizures. It's not safe to use in people with eating disorders, if suddenly withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines, or using these heavily. As zyban, can be used for smoking cessation.
