Nothings perfect: Our immune system keeps us from getting sick more than we know but influenza constantly mutates so it can get around the immune system. On the other hand if our immune system is too strong it attacks our own body like rheumatoid arthritis, crohn's disease, or the terrible skin disorder pyoderma gangrenosum.
