A member asked:

Can doctors tell me what does the aids virus do to the body and how does it form through sexual relations?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Limits immune system: The virus that causes aids is hiv. Hiv is a virus that is spread from person to person by close / intimate contact in which two people share cells / body fluids (such as intercourse or IV drug users sharing needles). The virus does not "form" through sexual relations, it is passed from person to person during sexual encounters. The virus infects cells and over time destroys the immune system.
