A member asked:

If someone has suppressed hiv does that mean that they can not transmit the virus through sexual intercourse?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hiv : The viral loads check viral levels only in the blood. An undetectable viral load does not mean that the virus is not in the body, it settles into the body like lymph nodes. A low or undetectable viral load lessens the chance that it can spread during sexual contact but it can.
