What's a good way to check if my bite is infected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Crusting with rednes: Watch out for scratching and picking as these are the most common reasons for infection in insect bites. If crusting (scabs) forms and there is surrounding redness, and if the bite area feels warm to the touch, you should see your doctor. Look out for the ants and try to avoid them in the future. Good luck to you, .
