HSV: HSV, the virus that causes cold sores, is extremely common and you likely already have it from childhood. There is no reason to worry. The blood test is not useful. Try to avoid direct contact with active cold sore eruptions. If you develop a cold sore, treat it with topical or oral antiviral. Otherwise, there is nothing else you need to do.
