A member asked:

Will eating red meat 2 to 3 times per week have any "real" health implications if i'm otherwise healthy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Red meat is an excellent source of protein and iron; in the good for you column. What you should know is that grass-fed animals, for example free-range or wild animals, are a very good source of conjugated linoleic acid (cla), a fat that appears to have potent anti-cancer properties. Grain-fed animals are inferior in nutrition to grass-fed animals.
