I don't think so: Dysfunctional uterine bleeding has many causes, most of which are not serious. Hormonal issues, stress, menopause, use/disuse of oral contraceptives, iud can cause this. It sounds like you have an established relationship with a gyn and i advise continued follow-up. Checking hormone levels and thyroid function are a consideration. An ultrasound should be done to look for fibroid tumors.
