Are medications for fibromyalgia good at relieving symptoms ? mine aren't too severe compared to others i've heard about

Some: Some drugs can help with chronic pain, like Neurontin and lyrica, (pregabalin) while snris, like ssris, venlafaxine or Cymbalta can help with pain and and mood. Yoga and exercise as tolerated can be very helpful as well. Unfortunately very little is known about the causative mechanisms of fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia: Please read other physician' s comments on fibromyalgia. There is great variation from one patient to another, and each case needs individualized assessment and treatment according to the chronicity and severity of the symptoms. Work with your doctor in finding solutions, and be open to suggestions from other specialists involved in your care.

Yes effective: ? fibromyalgia (FM) meds "good at relieving symptoms". 3 FDA-approved med are non-opioid pain medications & have helped people's pain. Opiates officially "not recommended". When FM pain lessens, should use this pain "honeymoon" to tone (aquatherapy) soft tissues (muscles, tendons, fascia); so body better able to withstand repetitive stress imposed by gravitational field (a FM causal co-factor).
