Could prednisone relieve the symptoms of fibromyalgia?

Unlikely: Prednisone would not be effective in treatment of fibromyalgia since it is not a inflammatory muscle disease. The best medications are usually the ones whose primary action takes place at the level of the central nervous system.

Not good choice: Drugs approved by fda include lyrica, cymbalta, and savella, (milnacipran) but several other meds have been tried. Failures include nsaid's, anti-depressants, opioids, steroids, aspirin, and a host of other meds.
