Fibromyalgia: Please refer to many other responses on the topic by specialists in this website. Fibromyalgia is a syndrome consisting of numerous symptoms and signs of disease in different areas of body function. The differential diagnosis might be extensive, and difficult for patient and doctor to reach.

Not fibro: The symptoms you describe do not suggest fibromyalgia. Such localized pain will be the result of other causes.

Take a scored test: Criteria for diagnosis of #fibromyalgia has always been within pervue of american college of rheumatology (acr). From early 1990's concept was if 11 out of 18 anatomically determined points were positive, then diagnosis supported. About three years ago this criteria was supplanted by a scored questionnaire. Take the written test and find out. Call doctor's receptionist ; make appt to take.
