Amplified pain: Fibromyalgia is a type of amplified pain syndrome where normal sensations such as touch or light pressure causes pain. Often causes "pain all over" including joints and muscles. It can feel similar to the joint and muscle pain that comes with the flu, but with fibromyalgia, there is no evidence of active infection. Seek a rheumatologist for appropriate diagnosis and treatment of fibromyalgia.
