Would veinwave shut down a spider vein and not cause surrounding spiders to appear like schelotherapy has the tendency to produce?

Possibly,: Although it can happen with any treatment including veinwave. In the right hands, sclerotherapy is no more likely to cause surrounding spiders to appear that anything else. I would strongly suggest that you seek a second opinion to get another take on the answers to your concerns.

Different treatments: Veinwave works by ohmic thermolysis (basically radiofrequency coagulation) of the vein and sclerotherapy works by injecting a solution into the vein to dissolve it. Veinwave tends to work on smaller veins then sclerotherapy and can only do small areas at a time. You would need to have the veins looked at by someone experienced with both to advise what is the best treatment for your type of veins.

Not necessarily: Veinwave and sclerotherapy can both be very effective when applied to the right circumstances. It is always advised to see a consultation from a board-certified vein specialist who can look at the veins & give expert opinion on what will give u the best results. Either treatment can results in other spiders to appear, but a little more likely with sclerotherapy "matting". Often resolves w/ time.
