Good evaluation: First you should have a good evaluation by a vein specialist. If your problem is just spider veins, they can succesfully be treated with sclerotherapy.

Cosmetic only: These do not cause pain. Look elsewhere for the cause of discomfort. Maybe abnormality of deep veins. Maybe something else.

Spider vein pain: As dr. Dohan said, aching and pain from spider veins would be unusual. Burning and itching would be far more common. If you have aching and pain with visible spider veins, you should think about the possibility that there is more going on than meets the eye. You should see a vein specialist for an evaluation and treatment recommendation.
