What is done if an iud (paragard) becomes implanted in the uterus?

If that is the case: It will need to be removed , hopefully with the aid of hysteroscopy, please call your gyn as your gyn will want to remove it or refer to someone else for removal.

?embedded?: If by embedded you mean the iud has been in place for a long time and the strings are missing, see your health provider/ob/gyn. Usually with a simple dilitage of the cervix the device can be removed.
