Sinusitis: Amoxicillin is commonly used to treat acute sinusitis. It isn't always the best for chronic sinusitis, though. You should be seen if this is a problem. You might need more than antibiotics. If you are "addicted, " you have developed rhinitis medicamentosa. We usually treat this by stopping the oxymetazole and replacing with nasal saline, nasal steroids and sometimes oral steroids. See an ent.
