I was prescribed 1000mg of amoxicillin 3x/day for sinusitis. is that a normal dose? it seems extremely high. im worried about side effects.

Somewhat high: this dose is often reserved for pneumonia, but has been used effectively for sinus disease. Side effects may include mucosal fungal infection, abdominal discomfort (take with food), diarrhea and sometimes even c.diff. Notify your physician of any new symptoms
