Yes: If you checked this pressure twice, once on each arm and this is the reading, then go to er asap. 110 diastolic at your age is hypertensive urgency/emergency. You could develop a stroke or heart attack.

This would depend on the accuracy of the manometer you are using. If you do not have a proper size cuff it may be falsely high. Arm bigger than your device is good for. I would also ask Dr to check to see if you have pseudo hypertension from calcified arteries in arm or wrist. It the BP is doing to you and not to the Dr. Please use all the room you have when you ask a question. Stoped meds?
