A member asked:

As a pharmacist i want to know pharmacologically why coffee is not a healthy source of antioxidants?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It certainly is : A source. However, for many people its benefit is overwhelmed by caffeine. There are therefore better antioxidant sources. The "feeling of having more energy" from caffeine is misleading for many people that take it to overcome fatigue. They are actually consuming energy that they can ill afford.
