Remove Hydrosalpinx: If the fallopian tube is blocked and filled with fluid, it should be removed prior to ivf. Pregnancy rates are about 30% lower and miscarriage rates about 30% higher if a fluid filled hydrosalpinx is present.

Optional: The more severe the hydrosalpinx the more it can decrease pregnancy rates even with ivf. If the hydrosalpinx is also blocked it can be more severe. But many women conceive with ivf even with a hydrosalpinx and whether to remove it depends on a number of factors including your age, your hormones, your history, etc.
