Young men and: Wo men non-smokers used to be very low risk. Usually cancer does not get better and worse, but worse and worse. Usual physical does not include direct laryngoscopy which is the next step to seek the hpv associated throat (and it is throat, not oral) cancer. It can be gotten from saliva exchange, not just the more interesting oro-genital contact. Ask to see an ENT to eliminate your worry.
